International Year preparation program

International study programs


The International Study Center offers a preparation program that leads towards your degree at Lipscomb and supports you as you settle into life in the USA. 

The International Year program is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. At the International Study Center, you’ll study academic modules that relate to your degree as well as study skills and English language classes that enhance your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

When you successfully complete the International Year and achieve the required grades, you’ll progress to year two of your degree at Lipscomb University.

During the International Year, you will study a combination of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses and academic content courses. Below is a sample list of the courses you may take in your first year of your program:
