Explore your options

Once you progress to the University, you’ll continue to work towards your ambitions and move into the University’s career development program. This is a great time to investigate all the fields you’re interested in.

Prepare for your future

Once you’ve chosen your major, possibly taken part in a Mission activity or an internship, you’ll have a much clearer idea of what you want to do, and how to get there. The Career Development Center can also help you find relevant work experience and jobs for after you graduate, enhancing your employability. About 100 companies each year come to the campus to recruit interns and full-time opportunities at the career fair.

Build your network

You’ll be a Bison forever and always have access to Lipscomb’s alumni network. You can also make use of career counsellors and job search services as you develop your career in future years.

Combining your studies and career development

Beyond the classroom you'll build contacts and experience through networking, volunteering, and internships. Diverse businesses, health organizations and Fortune 500 companies are located on the doorstep in Nashville. And when Lipscomb students graduate, more than 90 percent are employed or in further education within six months.

Many academic departments work with the Center to combine career development for students into their curriculum. This includes:

  • Resume writing
  • Interview preparation
  • Job search techniques
  • Graduate school applications
  • Professional Development Certificate
